"I&M Bank: A heritage of trusted regional banking excellence."
I&M Bank operates as a fully owned subsidiary of I&M Holdings Limited, a publicly traded entity listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (USE). With a distinguished banking legacy, the bank traces its origins back to 1974, growing from a local financial cooperative into a prominent, publicly listed regional commercial bank. It delivers a comprehensive suite of corporate and retail banking solutions, maintains a network of 35 branches across Kenya, and extends its operations internationally with a presence in three additional countries.
A key market leader in Kenya, I&M Bank has demonstrated consistent growth while remaining at the forefront of innovation, regularly expanding its product and service offerings. CDC Group plc, a UK government–owned development finance institution, holds a minority stake of approximately 10.68% in I&M Holdings, the parent company of I&M Bank Ltd. The bank also benefits from a technical cooperation agreement with the International Finance Corporation, which supports staff training, product development, and risk management initiatives.
I&M Bank has established strong international financial partnerships, securing medium-term foreign currency credit facilities from European development finance institutions including Prop arco, DEG, and FMO. Its correspondent banking network includes leading global institutions such as Bank One Ltd, Citibank NA, Commerzbank AG, Deutsche Bank AG, ICICI Bank Mumbai, Mash req Bank PLC, Standard Bank of South Africa, and Standard Chartered Bank New York.
Through its international subsidiaries—Bank One Limited (Mauritius), I&M Bank Tanzania Limited, and I&M Bank Rwanda—the bank provides specialized banking services across the region, encompassing commercial and specialty banking, asset financing, mobile and internet banking, investment management, diaspora banking, card services (credit, debit, and prepaid), and wealth management.
