"Ethical financing for African youth through Income Share Agreements."
CHANCE International, a non-profit organization, provides ethical financing solutions for African youth to pursue quality tertiary education through Income Share Agreements (ISA’s). Founded in East Africa in 2018, the organization covers tuition fees upfront, with graduates repaying based on their income upon entering the workforce, thus creating a sustainable funding model for future students.
With its headquarters in Kigali and operations spanning four countries—Kenya, South Africa, and Ghana—CHANCE has successfully supported over 4,000 students to date. The organization is driven by a mission to empower African youth responsibly, viewing education as a catalyst for unlocking potential, promoting equal access to quality learning, and fostering pathways to decent employment.
CHANCE’s innovative financing model is designed to enhance economic mobility among marginalized youth, encouraging their active participation in building resilient economies and peaceful societies.
Committed to fostering a safe and inclusive work environment, CHANCE ensures each team member can thrive and reach their full potential. The organization’s guiding principles—Collaboration, Inclusivity, Learning, Teamwork, and Vulnerability—shape its culture and underpin its approach to achieving impact.
