Job Summary:
The Partnerships Associate will assist in overseeing Chance Kenya’s portfolio of partner educational institutions (PEI’s), playing a pivotal role in the management of these partnerships. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the integrity and long-term viability of our ISA investments by actively engaging with partners, analyzing performance data to identify growth opportunities, and aligning your contributions with the department’s strategic objectives. This position demands a self-motivated professional capable of working autonomously while fostering strong collaborative relationships.
Oversee and execute key duties encompassing strategic planning, operational coordination, and team leadership to drive organizational objectives and foster an environment of high performance and collaboration within the team. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality standards across all departments. Monitor team progress against established goals, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure alignment with company-wide targets. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to streamline processes, resolve operational challenges, and implement innovative solutions that support sustainable growth. Ensure strict adherence to compliance requirements, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines while maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Assist the Partnership Manager in cultivating and sustaining robust, enduring relationships with existing partners while addressing their requirements and uncovering fresh opportunities for collaboration.
Collaborate on the creation, standardization, and administration of partnership agreements and contracts.
Play a key role in the ongoing assessment of current partnerships to verify they remain in harmony with Chance’s vision and strategic goals.
Create tailored engagement strategies for each PEI, detailing monthly and quarterly check-ins, performance evaluations, and corrective measures.
Monitor partnership agreements to verify compliance with performance expectations, service level agreements (SLAs), reporting schedules, and system utilization standards.
The department offers robust data analysis, reporting capabilities, and strategic assistance to drive informed decision-making and organizational growth. Key responsibilities include compiling, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets, generating insightful reports, and providing actionable recommendations to leadership. The role demands proficiency in data visualization tools, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to translate raw data into meaningful business insights. Strong analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support strategic initiatives.
Oversee the partner dashboard and tracking system to maintain 100% accuracy while ensuring monthly reporting standards are fully met.
Leverage data-driven insights to uncover emerging trends, pinpoint avenues for enhancing processes, and foster strategic partnerships that drive growth within the department.
Craft comprehensive, structured, and insightful reports detailing the partnership pipeline, progress toward established targets, and essential performance indicators for internal stakeholders.
Deliver continuous assistance to PEI staff regarding system operations, issue escalations, and software updates.
Direct the yearly audit procedures for each assigned PEI, guaranteeing strict adherence to partnership agreements, reporting obligations, and payment schedules.
Provides disbursement and portfolio support services to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions and reporting. Maintains records of disbursements, tracks expenditures against allocated budgets, and assists in reconciling discrepancies. Collaborates with finance teams to streamline processes, verify compliance with funding requirements, and support strategic decision-making. Requires proficiency in financial software, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, SAM, Communications & Community, Repayments, and Data, to ensure the prompt and precise allocation of funds to partners.
Before disbursing funds to the PEI, verify that all cohorts within the PEI meet the commitment fee requirements and have commenced their sessions.
Requirements
We seek candidates with the following essential qualifications and professional background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Project Management, International Development, Marketing, or a related field is required.
Seeking candidates with a minimum of two to three years of demonstrated expertise in partnerships, business development, data analysis, or project management. Prior experience within the education sector, financial services, or impact investing is highly advantageous.
Proven expertise in analytical thinking and problem resolution, consistently addressing operational challenges spanning routine to moderately complex scenarios.
Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, fostering strong connections with stakeholders across varied backgrounds while effectively conveying information through clear, concise written and verbal communication.
Requires strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a focus on advanced features and functionalities.
A highly self-motivated and proactive professional with exceptional organizational skills, capable of efficiently juggling competing priorities, tracking progress against established benchmarks, and consistently delivering results within specified timeframes.
