Job Summary:

The Partnerships Associate will assist in overseeing Chance Kenya’s portfolio of partner educational institutions (PEI’s), ensuring the integrity and long-term sustainability of our ISA investments. This position demands a proactive professional capable of fostering strong partner relationships, evaluating data to identify growth opportunities, and driving strategic initiatives aligned with departmental objectives—all while demonstrating a high degree of autonomy and initiative.

Oversee and execute critical tasks to ensure operational excellence, including managing daily workflows, coordinating team efforts, and maintaining high productivity standards. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and achieve departmental objectives. Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Foster collaboration across departments to align goals and drive cross-functional success. Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance regulations, and quality standards throughout all operations. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to support their professional growth and development. Prepare and present reports to senior leadership, summarizing progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations.

Responsible for cultivating and overseeing strategic alliances, this role focuses on building robust partnerships that align with organizational goals. The position requires developing enduring relationships with key stakeholders, negotiating mutually beneficial agreements, and ensuring seamless collaboration across teams. Key duties include identifying potential partners, conducting thorough due diligence, and monitoring performance metrics to measure success. Strong interpersonal skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to navigate complex business scenarios are essential. Experience in partnership development or a related field is required, along with excellent communication and project management capabilities.

You will assist the Partnership Manager in cultivating and sustaining robust, enduring partnerships with existing collaborators, addressing their requirements effectively while uncovering fresh growth prospects.

Collaborate on drafting, refining, and overseeing partnership agreements and contractual arrangements to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.

Evaluate ongoing partnerships regularly to ensure they remain in harmony with Chance’s vision and strategic objectives.

Devises comprehensive engagement strategies tailored to each PEI, detailing scheduled monthly and quarterly interactions, thorough performance assessments, and targeted improvement measures.

Monitor partnership agreements to confirm compliance with SLAs, reporting timelines, and system utilization standards, ensuring all deliverables are met within established timeframes.

The role entails providing data analysis, generating insightful reports, and offering strategic support to enhance decision-making processes. Responsibilities include compiling and interpreting data, identifying trends, and producing detailed reports to inform key stakeholders. Additionally, the position requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth and operational efficiency. Proficiency in data visualization tools, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights are essential. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and excellent communication skills are also required to effectively convey findings and recommendations to leadership.

Oversee the maintenance and updates of the partner dashboard and tracker to uphold complete accuracy and adherence to monthly reporting requirements.

Leverage data-driven insights to uncover emerging trends, pinpoint opportunities for enhancing processes, and foster strategic partnerships to drive departmental growth.

Compile comprehensive, structured, and insight-driven reports detailing the partnership pipeline, progress toward established targets, and critical performance indicators for internal stakeholders.

Deliver continuous assistance to PEI staff regarding system operations, issue escalations, and software updates.

Direct oversight of the annual audit process for all designated PEI’s is required, with strict adherence to partnership agreements, reporting protocols, and payment schedules.

Responsible for managing disbursement processes and providing comprehensive support for portfolio operations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial transactions while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, SAM, Communications & Community, Repayments, and Data to ensure the prompt and precise distribution of funds to partners.

All cohorts within the PEI must adhere to commitment fee requirements and be actively in session prior to any disbursement of funds to the PEI.

Seeking a highly motivated professional with a strong background in project management and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. Must possess excellent communication skills and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Requires proficiency in industry-standard software tools and a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include overseeing project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and fostering collaboration among team members to achieve strategic objectives.

Candidates must meet the following essential qualifications and possess relevant professional experience to be considered for the position.

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Project Management, International Development, Marketing, or a related discipline is required.

A minimum of two to three years of hands-on experience in partnership development, business growth, data analytics, or project oversight is required. Candidates with a background in the education sector, financial services, or impact investing will be viewed favorably.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities of a high caliber are required, with a demonstrated track record of resolving operational challenges ranging from routine to moderately complex in scope.

Proven ability to foster meaningful connections through exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at cultivating relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and articulating information with clarity in both written and oral formats.

Demonstrates exceptional skill in utilizing Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced level.
