"KCB Group: Leading East Africa’s financial growth since 2016."
Kenya Commercial Bank Limited operates as a non-operating holding company, officially commencing its banking activities on January 1, 2016. As the parent entity, it governs KCB Kenya—established on the same date—and all of KCB’s regional subsidiaries across Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, and South Sudan. Additionally, the holding company holds ownership of KCB Insurance Agency, KCB Capital, KCB Foundation, and all associated businesses. This corporate structure was established to bolster the Group’s access to flexible capital, facilitate investments in ventures beyond banking regulations, ensure operational and strategic independence for its subsidiaries, and strengthen corporate governance alongside enhanced oversight of subsidiary management.
