The Chief Procurement Officer/Procurement Officer will oversee and manage all facets of the University’s Procurement, Accounts Payable, and University Services operations. This role will implement and enforce policies, procedures, and objectives governing procurement activities in alignment with the Public Procurement and Assets Disposal Act (2015) and the PAD Regulations (2020), as well as any other legally mandated guidelines.
Candidates must meet the following academic and professional qualifications and requirements:
A master’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or a closely related discipline is required.
A minimum of ten years of hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management is essential, with at least five of those years served in a senior-level capacity.
A Certified Procurement and Supply Professional (PSP) credential or an equivalent qualification is required.
A certified member in good standing of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management.
A certified professional in procurement and supply chain management is required.
Proficient in utilizing computers and skilled in operating relevant software applications.

Oversee the continuous management and enhancement of the supplier database to ensure its accuracy and completeness at all times.
Draft formal notifications of tender awards and contracts.
Provide expert guidance to the University on procurement-related decisions and strategic initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes.
Provide guidance on all procurement-related matters as they arise.
