Job Purpose

We are in search of a meticulous, data-driven, and technologically proficient Accountant to integrate into our expanding finance department. This position entails assuming responsibility for routine accounting functions, overseeing tax regulatory adherence, and compiling precise financial documentation to facilitate informed strategic decisions.

Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives forward. Lead initiatives that enhance productivity, streamline processes, and foster innovation across departments. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while maintaining high standards for quality and efficiency. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and staff to align goals, resolve challenges, and optimize performance outcomes. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions for sustained growth. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement scalable solutions that support long-term business success.

Prepare accurate and punctual monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts to support financial reporting requirements.

Perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier records, and general ledgers to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Ensure full statutory compliance by overseeing the preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax filings.

The Accounts Payable/Receivable role involves overseeing customer invoicing, managing payment processing, and monitoring the aging of receivables to ensure timely collections.

Maintain the accuracy and audit readiness of financial record-keeping systems to ensure data integrity.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development is necessary. Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with experience with databases such as SQL or NoSQL. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are also required. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable discipline is required.

Seeking a candidate who is either a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) finalist or holds an equivalent qualification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ARCA).

Minimum qualifications include two to four years of hands-on accounting experience in a dynamic professional environment.

Proficient in accounting systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, and Xero, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

You must possess exceptional analytical problem-solving abilities along with strong organizational expertise.
