As a Senior Manager, you will serve as the pivotal strategic connection between the sales team and customers, ensuring that business opportunities are seamlessly translated into customized wireless communication solutions. Serves as the strategic leader of the end-to-end sales cycle, driving the completion of transactions with precision and effectiveness.

You will cultivate and sustain robust customer and prospect relationships while effectively promoting products, services, and solutions to drive sales.

Exhibits exceptional sales expertise alongside a comprehensive grasp of telecom technologies, specifically optical transport networks and wireless infrastructure (4G/5G RAN & core), to foster customer satisfaction and secure orders while driving revenue growth.

Develops and guides a regionally focused, high-performing team composed of presales and support specialists.

Oversees all aspects of customer engagements, encompassing strategic negotiations, development of tailored offers, and completion of contractual agreements.

Facilitates sustainable business expansion, with order intake serving as the key performance indicator for success.

Drives growth in the East Africa market by cultivating new business prospects through personalized customer interactions and customized strategies designed to meet individual client needs.

Crafts and implements strategic regional sales initiatives, holding full responsibility for cultivating and maintaining customer relationships while achieving independently set sales objectives.

Manages the full sales cycle, overseeing everything from initial prospecting and cold calls to the finalization of orders, while maintaining consistent and impactful daily customer interactions.

Develops pricing strategies grounded in detailed, account-specific market intelligence.

Oversees the complete lifecycle of the annuity business—covering annual maintenance contract services—with a strategic focus on driving the highest possible on-time renewal rates.

Required skills include a minimum of five years of experience in a related field, proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum, and demonstrated expertise in data analysis to interpret complex datasets. Additional qualifications consist of strong leadership abilities, exceptional communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams, and the capacity to drive strategic initiatives forward. With a decade-plus of sales expertise and a demonstrated history of success, you have cultivated strong direct sales capabilities, strategically engaging Internet Service Providers, Fiber Network Operators, Wholesale Bandwidth Operators, and Mobile Operators.

With a minimum of five years of sales experience in the East African region, you have cultivated a robust network, particularly within Kenya’s telecommunications sector.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Significant travel throughout East Africa will be a key responsibility of this role, necessitating regular movement across the region.

Preferred Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by three to five years of hands-on experience in software development. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with proficiency in frameworks like Django, Spring Boot, or .NET. Candidates should also demonstrate expertise in database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL solutions, and possess strong problem-solving abilities. Understanding of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is highly valued. Exceptional communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams are required.

With a proven track record spanning over 14 years in sales, the ideal candidate will bring extensive industry experience and a deep understanding of sales strategies, client relations, and market dynamics.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering is preferred, along with an MBA with a specialization in Sales & Marketing.
