Position Summary
PA SGR is in search of a Senior Communications Officer to oversee corporate communications, public relations, digital engagement, and the organization’s overall visibility. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position will enhance program implementation, knowledge management, and resource mobilization by leveraging strategic communication initiatives.
Oversee a comprehensive array of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership to drive organizational objectives and ensure seamless workflow continuity. Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity, mitigate risks, and optimize resource allocation across departments. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages cross-functional teamwork, professional development, and accountability among staff members. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management to inform decision-making processes. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards while maintaining high ethical and professional integrity in all operations.
Lead the creation and execution of PA SGR’s Communications Strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Oversee the development and rollout of comprehensive communication plans, including messaging frameworks, content creation, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate communication efforts across all platforms, ensuring consistency and impact. Monitor, evaluate, and refine strategies based on performance metrics and feedback to enhance reach and effectiveness.
Oversee corporate communications, branding initiatives, and public relations strategies to enhance organizational reputation and stakeholder engagement.
Responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s website, digital platforms, and social media channels to ensure optimal performance, engagement, and brand consistency. This role involves strategic oversight and daily administration to enhance online presence and user experience.
Oversee the development and production of publications, multimedia content, and documentation to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Enhance relationships with media outlets and key stakeholders to foster mutually beneficial partnerships and improve organizational visibility.
Assist in advancing fundraising initiatives and enhancing program communication efforts as required.
Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of progressive experience in financial analysis, reporting, or auditing. Proficiency in financial software, such as QuickBooks or SAP, and advanced Excel skills are essential. Strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are required to interpret data, prepare reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with GAAP and regulatory compliance is preferred.
A master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related discipline is required.
Eight years of experience or more in a comparable leadership position within the communications field is required.
Proficient in crafting compelling narratives, producing engaging written content, and creating dynamic multimedia assets to effectively communicate and captivate audiences.
Professional candidates should possess proven expertise in digital platforms, media engagement strategies, and strategic communication frameworks.
Fluent proficiency in English is essential, with strong written and verbal communication skills required; additional fluency in French is highly advantageous.
