JOB PURPOSE
This role involves supporting the strategic planning and daily operations to ensure the Business Development Function (General Business and Medical) operates effectively and efficiently for broker and tender business. Additionally, the position focuses on expanding assigned existing broker accounts and maintaining high-quality tender documentation.
Minimum qualifications include relevant knowledge and experience in the specified field, typically demonstrated through formal education and/or professional practice. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of key concepts, methodologies, and industry standards pertinent to the position. Additionally, practical experience in similar roles is often required to ensure proficiency in executing job responsibilities effectively. Proficiency with specific tools, technologies, or systems may also be necessary, depending on the role’s demands.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, combined with at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Prior experience managing projects or leading initiatives is highly advantageous.
A bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Public Relations, or a related field within the social sciences is required.
Qualified candidates should possess either a Fellow or ACID/AII designation, or hold Chartered Marketer credentials, demonstrating expertise in the field.
Minimum of four years of managerial experience is required.
Knowledge
Proficiency in both General and Medical insurance domains is essential.
Business development, underwriting, claims management, strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methodologies represent core operational functions, each requiring specialized expertise and coordinated execution to ensure organizational growth and risk mitigation.
