Position Overview
The Swimming Pool Attendant/Boat Rider is responsible for maintaining the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests utilizing the hotel’s swimming pool and boating amenities. This position integrates guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and proficient equipment management to provide an exceptional recreational experience.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maintaining high standards of performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects forward, analyze complex challenges, and implement effective solutions. Monitor progress through established metrics, provide actionable insights, and report outcomes to stakeholders with clarity and precision. Develop and refine processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall operational excellence. Serve as a liaison between departments to foster seamless communication and coordination. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve strategies and methodologies.
Guest Safety: Ensure vigilant supervision of pool and boating areas to mitigate risks, uphold safety protocols, and address emergencies with immediate action.
Maintain the cleanliness of the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas while ensuring water quality standards are met and any issues are promptly reported.
Equipment Handling: Responsibilities include operating and securing boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment, as well as ensuring their proper storage and upkeep.
The role involves providing exceptional customer service by addressing guests’ needs at the poolside, during boat rides, and during recreational activities, while delivering clear instructions and maintaining a friendly demeanor.
Collaborate effectively with lifeguards, recreation staff, and hotel management to organize and deliver guest activities seamlessly.
Qualifications
Swimming Skills: Proficient in swimming with a strong aptitude; lifeguard certification is a desirable asset.
Required: Previous hands-on experience in the safe operation of small boats or watercraft.
CPR and First Aid certification is strongly preferred.
A background in hospitality, with previous experience in hotels, resorts, or recreational facilities, is highly desirable.
Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal abilities, fostering welcoming and professional interactions with guests from varied cultural and social backgrounds.
