Job Purpose
Facilitating students’ success and fostering academic excellence to help them realize their full potential by applying the SABIS curriculum and philosophy, while consistently employing the SABIS teaching methodology.
Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations, managing team performance and productivity, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Additionally, the role requires developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency, analyzing key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives to achieve organizational objectives. Strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential, along with the ability to mentor and develop team members while maintaining high standards of accountability and professionalism.
Teachers will deliver lessons in accordance with the provided lesson plans, which may include the development of such plans when guided by the pacing charts provided, to ensure instruction aligns with the SABIS point system.
Exams pertinent to their subject area must be graded in strict adherence to the prescribed timeline and the materials supplied by the department.
Collaborating with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and the head of department (HOD) to address disciplinary matters and student performance concerns is required.
Developing and maintaining the SABIS point system to foster an optimal learning environment within the classroom setting.
Offer support by overseeing exams in an orderly and well-organized testing environment whenever required.
Offering assistance to students facing academic challenges, the role involves empowering them to enhance their performance and cultivate motivation to realize their full capabilities.
Develop or adhere to external exam preparation by systematically working through past papers, as outlined in the structured revision schedule (where relevant to the specific grade).
Assisting with various responsibilities, such as administering student assessments, filling in for absent educators, coordinating student lunches and bus departures, managing traffic flow for both vehicles and pedestrians, as well as performing any other administrative tasks as directed by the SABIS school management.
In collaboration with the student life coordinator, this role entails designing and executing activity plans for a wide range of student life initiatives, including—but not limited to—art, open house, and physical education events.
Attending training sessions as required by school management is essential to deepen their comprehension of the SABIS system and bolster their overall performance.
Handling additional tasks or projects as needed, they should be executed in alignment with the directives provided by the SABIS school management team, as well as any other relevant assignments assigned by them.
Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field, complemented by a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are required to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. A commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a fast-paced environment is highly valued. Prior experience in project management or leadership is advantageous but not mandatory.
A relevant bachelor’s degree or comparable qualification in a related field is required.
Proficient bilingual professionals fluent in French and English are sought for this position. Candidates must possess native-level proficiency in French, ensuring seamless communication and cultural nuance in all interactions. This role requires a deep understanding of francophone customs, idiomatic expressions, and regional dialects to deliver precise and contextually appropriate messaging. Fluency in both written and spoken French is essential, along with the ability to translate and interpret complex information accurately.
A prerequisite for this role includes holding either a PGCE Certification or an MA in Education.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential for this role. Candidates must demonstrate advanced skills in document creation, data analysis, and presentation development. The ability to efficiently manage spreadsheets, generate reports, and deliver clear, visually engaging presentations is required. Familiarity with Outlook for email and calendar management is also necessary.
Effective interpersonal and written communication abilities are essential, enabling clear articulation of ideas, active listening, and smooth collaboration with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Proficiency in conveying complex information in an understandable manner, adapting communication styles to diverse audiences, and fostering transparent dialogue is required. Strong presentation skills, including the ability to engage and persuade, as well as the capacity to provide and receive constructive feedback, are also critical.
Aptitude for collaborative work environments and effective participation in team dynamics is essential.
