Review production schedules and shipping orders to identify required materials, products, or equipment, then transport them safely and efficiently between designated locations within the facility.
Operate forklifts to efficiently load and unload goods from trucks, containers, and other vehicles as needed.
Transport palletized or crated items efficiently across warehouse and storage facilities.
Organize and place goods in their designated storage areas, adhering strictly to established inventory control protocols and warehouse guidelines.
Before dispatch, verify that all loads are adequately secured for safe transportation.
Gather and organize used pallets within the allotted storage spaces.
Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts, ensuring all critical components such as lubricants, tires, air conditioning systems, and battery or fuel levels are accurately monitored and properly maintained.
Promptly report any equipment defects, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor without delay.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations by maintaining a clean, organized, and secure workspace at all times.
Provide support for stock transfers, inventory audits, and various warehouse operations as needed.
Execute any additional tasks as directed by management or leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of software development experience. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with experience with frameworks like Spring, Django, or .NET. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment are necessary. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, version control systems (e.g., Git), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is preferred. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code are also required.
A minimum GCSE Certificate or an equivalent qualification is required.
A valid forklift operator certificate or license is required for this role.
Minimum of one to two years of practical experience operating a forklift within warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics operations is required.
Proficient in warehouse operations and inventory management procedures.
Must demonstrate the ability to operate forklifts with efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and a steadfast dedication to maintaining a safe working environment.
