Responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of tasks central to the role, including but not limited to strategic planning, team leadership, and project execution. Offer technical and operational assistance to strategic planning and corporate coordination initiatives, encompassing the following responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation, integration, and oversight of the UNSC’s annual work plan, results frameworks, and strategic planning documents.

Prepare strategic notes, concept notes, and internal planning documents in support of the Deputy Director and UNSC senior management.

Facilitate the incorporation of gender equality and women’s empowerment objectives across UN system-wide initiatives, collaborative methodologies, and inter-agency frameworks.

Prepare briefing notes, background papers, and presentations to support senior leadership engagements, inter-agency meetings, and external events.

Deliver specialized technical and operational assistance to facilitate coordination among United Nations system entities and inter-agency initiatives.

Provide assistance in gathering, evaluating, and managing current data concerning UN coordination mechanisms, technical entities, and inter-agency initiatives pertinent to the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation (UNSC).

Support the facilitation and follow-up of UNC initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination across the UN system.

Offer comprehensive substantive and operational assistance in the planning and execution of high-level inter-agency meetings, events, or initiatives (such as Correlated coordination and UN system consultations).

Deliver comprehensive technical assistance to the Secretariat of the Gender Equality Acceleration Plan (GAP), ensuring seamless operational and strategic support for all designated initiatives.

Deliver comprehensive technical and logistical assistance to the coordination and partnership initiatives of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development.

Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders—both within and outside the UN system, such as UN bodies, Member States, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and other key partners—to enhance system-wide coordination on gender equality initiatives.

Assist with the planning and documentation of coordination meetings, consultations, and briefings organized by UNSC, which involves preparing agendas, background materials, summaries, and action items.

Facilitate seamless collaboration between UN Women divisions and offices to ensure alignment with UNSC mandates and successful delivery of key deliverables.

Support advocacy, communications, and resource mobilization initiatives through assistance with background research, proposal development, and stakeholder engagement activities.
