The Kenya National Innovation Agency (Kenya) is a state corporation established under the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Act, No. 28 of 2013, operating under the Ministry of Education. Its primary responsibility is to develop and manage the National Innovation System, coordinating, promoting, and regulating the National Innovation Ecosystem. In collaboration with partners, Kenya strengthens the interrelationships among key actors to drive innovation and enterprise development rooted in research and ideas. The agency supports the identification, documentation, and protection of innovative concepts while overseeing the creation and execution of policies, standards, processes, infrastructure, and partnerships to cultivate these ideas. Additionally, Kenya collaborates with stakeholders to prioritize innovation effectively, enhance relevant capacities, recognize achievements, and publicize success stories.
