Duties and responsibilities at this position will include:
Collaborating on the formulation of human resource strategies, policies, and procedures constitutes a key responsibility.
Responsible for validating and compiling accurate data essential for seamless payroll execution.
Conducting comprehensive training needs assessments, developing future projections, and providing recommendations for training programs.
Delivering comprehensive secretarial support to the Management Advisory Committee forms a core aspect of this role, ensuring efficient coordination and administrative facilitation of committee activities.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date Human Resource records is essential, requiring diligent attention to detail and timely updates.
Developing and executing human resource management strategies in alignment with established rules, regulations, and procedures is required.
Overseeing payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of employee compensation and benefits.
Develops and assembles comprehensive reports that evaluate the execution of performance management systems, with a particular emphasis on performance appraisals.
Maintaining accurate documentation of staff training and development initiatives and ensuring all records are current and comprehensive.
Person specification
An officer seeking appointment to this grade must fulfill the following criteria:
Possessing at least nine (9) years of professional experience, with a minimum of three (3) years served in the capacity of Senior Human Resource Management Officer or an equivalent role within the Public Service or Private Sector.
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution is required.
OR
A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Commerce is required, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
Registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management (HRM),
A degree or diploma in Management from an accredited institution is required;
Demonstrated expertise in utilizing a range of computer software and applications.
