Responsibilities at this level include a comprehensive range of duties, which involve:

Developing and contributing insights to the formulation of human resource strategies, policies, and procedures is a key responsibility.

Gathering and cross-referencing data to ensure accuracy for payroll execution.

Conducting comprehensive assessments of training needs, forecasting future requirements, and providing strategic recommendations to inform the development of training programs.

Routinely performing secretarial duties in support of the Management Advisory Committee, including managing correspondence, maintaining records, and facilitating meetings.

Maintaining Human Resource records with precision and promptness is essential.

Implementing decisions related to human resource management in accordance with established rules, regulations, and procedures ensures consistency and compliance with organizational policies.

Overseeing the payroll process involves ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of employee compensation, including salaries, bonuses, and deductions. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain compliance with tax regulations and company policies. Additionally, the position may involve processing payroll adjustments, resolving discrepancies, and generating detailed payroll reports for management review. Proficiency in payroll software and a strong understanding of labor laws are essential requirements for this role.

Crafting comprehensive reports that document the deployment and operational status of performance management systems, encompassing performance appraisal processes, is a key responsibility.

Maintaining comprehensive documentation of staff training and development initiatives is required to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with organizational standards.

Person specification

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Accumulating nine (9) years of professional experience, with a minimum of three (3) of those years held in the capacity of Senior Human Resource Management Officer—or an equivalent role within the Public Service or Private Sector—is required.

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution is required.

OR

A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Commerce, complemented by a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or an equivalent credential from an accredited institution, is required.

Registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management (HRM), this role ensures compliance with professional standards and ethical guidelines in human resources.

From a recognized institution, completion of a Management Course is required.

Demonstrates strong competency in utilizing various computer applications to enhance productivity and efficiency in daily tasks.
