At this level, the position encompasses a range of essential duties and responsibilities, including:
Assisting in the formulation of human resource strategies, policies, and procedures constitutes a key responsibility of this role.
Ensuring the accuracy and integration of data essential for payroll processing.
Conducting comprehensive assessments of training requirements and forecasting future needs to recommend and shape appropriate training programs.
Delivering comprehensive secretarial support to the Management Advisory Committee.
Maintaining Human Resource records with precision and punctuality is essential.
Executing human resource management directives in accordance with established rules, regulations, and procedures.
Overseeing the processing and administration of payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of employee compensation, including salaries, bonuses, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Compiling and preparing reports on the performance management systems’ implementation, such as performance appraisals, is a key responsibility of this role.
Maintaining accurate records of staff training and development initiatives is essential.
Person specification
An officer must meet specific qualifications to be appointed to this grade, including a combination of education, experience, and professional competencies.
With a total of nine (9) years of professional experience, at least three (3) of which were in the capacity of a Senior Human Resource Management Officer or an equivalent role within the Public Service or Private Sector.
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a comparable, accredited qualification from a reputable institution is required.
OR
A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Commerce is required, along with either a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
I am formally registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management (HRM).
Hold an accredited Management qualification from a reputable academic institution.
Demonstrated expertise in utilizing various computer applications with a high level of skill and efficiency.
