The Facilitator is responsible for leading and coordinating activities, ensuring smooth operations and participant engagement. They will design and implement structured programs, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among attendees. Additionally, the role involves managing logistics, including scheduling, venue preparation, and resource allocation, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt to diverse group dynamics and facilitate meaningful interactions. Prior experience in training, education, or group facilitation is preferred, and proficiency in relevant software or tools may be required.

Facilitate the inclusive execution of initiatives focused on youth leadership development, livelihood enhancement, and financial inclusion.

Encourage and facilitate the active involvement and leadership development of young individuals with disabilities.

Perform evaluations to gauge accessibility standards and facilitate appropriate accommodations as needed.

Engage young individuals with disabilities by leveraging community partnerships and collaborating with Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (Odds).

Provide disability inclusion awareness training and facilitate inclusive practices for staff, partners, and youth leaders.

Empower youth with disabilities by mentoring them and providing access to economic and leadership development opportunities.

Support inclusive monitoring, participant profiling, and learning documentation efforts to ensure comprehensive and accessible data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Foster project environments that prioritize safety, respect, and strict adherence to safeguarding protocols.

Developed deliverables will encompass a comprehensive set of outputs tailored to meet project objectives. These will include detailed reports, strategic analyses, and actionable recommendations designed to drive decision-making and operational improvements. Additionally, the successful candidate must produce high-quality documentation, maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, and ensure all deliverables adhere to established timelines and quality standards.

Enhanced involvement of young individuals with disabilities in EVE initiatives.

Enhancements to accessibility have been integrated into all project activities to ensure inclusive participation and usability for all stakeholders.

Strengthened inclusion capacity was achieved among both staff and partners.

Documented learning and periodic inclusion feedback are maintained regularly.

Reporting Line: This position is accountable for providing regular updates and insights to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and fostering transparent communication across departments. The role requires a proactive approach to data analysis and performance tracking, enabling informed decision-making. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to gather relevant information, address operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable reports are critical for success in this role.

The position operates under the supervision of the Youth Voice & Empowerment Inclusion Lead, with additional technical support provided by the Interventions Team.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory, along with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in software development, with expertise in full-stack development using Java, Python, or similar languages. Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is essential. Candidates must demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Prior experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies is highly desirable.

Youth aged 18-35 who have a disability are highly encouraged to apply.

A minimum qualification of a Diploma is required for this position.

Proficiency in disability inclusion, youth program development, community engagement initiatives, or social inclusion efforts is essential.

Proficiency in Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (DESI) principles is considered an asset for this role.

Proficiency in informal settlements or underserved communities is considered an advantage.

Exceptional abilities in facilitating discussions, providing mentorship, and conveying information with clarity.

Proficiency in fundamental computer skills is required, with reasonable accommodations available as needed.

Having prior training or certification in disability inclusion is considered a beneficial qualification.
