As a Drilling TRS Crew Member, you will play a pivotal role in rig operations by supporting essential tubular running activities critical to well construction. Your responsibilities will include operating advanced mechanical and hydraulic TRS equipment, collaborating on rig up and rig down procedures, and ensuring the secure handling of casing, tubing, and associated tools.
As a Drilling TRS Crew Member, your responsibilities will encompass executing critical drilling operations, adhering to stringent safety protocols, and ensuring operational efficiency throughout assigned tasks. You will support the team by maintaining equipment, monitoring drilling parameters, and promptly addressing any mechanical or technical challenges that arise. Collaboration with fellow crew members and supervisors will be essential to uphold productivity and maintain compliance with industry regulations. Additionally, you will be tasked with documenting daily activities, conducting routine inspections, and participating in safety drills to reinforce a secure working environment.
Operating TRS equipment, including power tongs, elevators, slips, spiders, torque-turn systems, and hydraulic power units, with strict adherence to safety protocols and professional standards.
Provides support in the assembly and disassembly of TRS equipment, such as stabbing boards, power units, and tubular handling tools.
Establishing clear and professional communication with the drill floor operator, clients, and subcontracted personnel is essential to maintaining coordinated and safe operational workflows.
Conducting preliminary troubleshooting, thorough inspections, and routine maintenance of TRS equipment prior to, throughout, and following operational phases.
The role involves maintaining adherence to all safety protocols, participating in rig safety meetings, and promptly reporting any identified hazards or operational concerns.
In accordance with the Operations Coordinator’s guidance, you will finalize job documentation, compile activity reports, and assist with operational duties as assigned.
To excel in this position, you will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
Proficiency in the oil and gas sector, along with hands-on experience in TRS or drilling-related field operations, is highly desirable.
Demonstrates a robust mechanical aptitude alongside the capability to safely and accurately operate mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
Proficient in collaborating and maintaining clear communication with rig crews, supervisors, and clients, particularly under demanding and high-pressure conditions.
A two-year technical degree or equivalent—achieved through relevant technical training and hands-on field experience—is preferred for this role.
Demonstrates exceptional analytical abilities and a disciplined approach to adhering to established protocols, conducting thorough equipment inspections, and ensuring continuous operational preparedness.
Capable of undertaking domestic and international travel for onshore and offshore projects, this role demands adaptability to varied scheduling arrangements, including on-call responsibilities and shift-based work structures.
