Lead proactive measures to prepare for upcoming funding opportunities by identifying and engaging key stakeholders—including international NGOs, national NGOs, universities, research institutions, and relevant line ministries—to establish collaborative consortia. Develop and finalize teaming agreements while crafting compelling winning strategies and pitches tailored to secure funding.
In partnership with the Head of Programs, you will organize and lead visits for donors and prospective partners to WHH Somalia/Somaliland field sites, highlighting key accomplishments, demonstrating impact, and identifying areas where additional financial support is needed.
Direct the entire proposal development lifecycle, overseeing timelines and integrating stakeholder contributions while serving as the lead author of new business proposals.
Oversee the compilation of evidence briefs, capacity statements, and associated documentation. Assist with evidence-gathering initiatives as needed.
Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with a diverse range of prospective donors, encompassing individuals, corporations, foundations, and governmental bodies—expanding beyond conventional sources to include non-traditional donors and foundations, particularly those in Gulf states.
Your profile
Professional qualification, supplemented by additional certification or vocational training, or commensurate relevant experience, is required.
With a minimum of five years dedicated to professional roles in the Global South, candidates must also possess at least five years of direct experience within the Somali context.
Possesses practical field experience within the Somali region, along with a comprehensive grasp of its humanitarian and development coordination frameworks and aid systems.
Demonstrated success in obtaining institutional funding from prominent bilateral and multilateral donors.
Possesses an in-depth understanding of the Somali funding environment, encompassing traditional, newly established, and emerging donors.
Professional experience in implementing resilience initiatives within arid and semi-arid environments, with a focus on climate adaptation strategies, livelihood enhancement programs, and food security interventions.
Capable of and medically eligible to receive all mandatory vaccinations essential for international travel and deployment.
