Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, this role will oversee the full spectrum of quality assurance functions, directing quality control initiatives throughout the supply chain, administering audit protocols and regulatory compliance programs, and leading quality-focused teams. The position will also ensure strict adherence to all applicable local and international food safety and export standards, including Global. A.P., HACCP, BRC, phytosanitary regulations, and any additional customer-mandated requirements.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties and responsibilities to ensure operational efficiency and organizational success. Lead key initiatives, manage critical projects, and maintain high standards of performance across all assigned functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align efforts with strategic objectives and foster a productive work environment. Monitor progress, analyze outcomes, and implement improvements to enhance productivity and achieve business goals. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices while upholding accountability and excellence in all responsibilities.

Quality Assurance and Food Safety Systems encompass critical processes designed to uphold stringent standards for food quality and safety throughout the production and distribution chain. This role requires a meticulous attention to regulatory compliance, rigorous inspection protocols, and proactive risk mitigation strategies to prevent contamination or adulteration. Professionals in this field must possess expertise in implementing and maintaining systems such as HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP, alongside a deep understanding of local and international food safety regulations. Responsibilities include conducting routine audits, analyzing potential hazards, documenting deviations, and ensuring corrective actions are promptly executed to safeguard public health. Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential to foster a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to best practices in food safety management.

Develop, execute, and oversee quality assurance frameworks, food safety protocols, and rigorous quality benchmarks to assess avocado maturity, sizing, coloration, firmness, visual appeal, weight, ripeness, and overall product uniformity.

The role involves overseeing and ensuring the adherence to quality standards throughout the supply chain processes. Responsibilities include monitoring supplier performance, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Requirements consist of a relevant degree in supply chain management or a related field, along with experience in quality assurance or control. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for identifying and resolving quality-related issues.

Responsible for directing quality control measures throughout sourcing, harvesting, packing, storage, transportation, and export operations. Perform systematic inspections of incoming produce and oversee post-harvest handling practices to minimize bruising, spoilage, contamination, and product waste.

Ensures adherence to regulatory standards, conducts thorough audits, and manages certification processes to uphold organizational integrity and meet industry requirements.

Ensure compliance with local and international food safety and export standards. Lead internal quality audits and coordinate external inspections by regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and export clients.

We address and resolve customer complaints while implementing corrective actions to uphold service excellence and operational integrity. This role involves evaluating feedback, identifying root causes of issues, and developing strategies to prevent recurrence. Accurate documentation of all complaints and actions taken is essential, along with ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are required to collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain customer satisfaction.

Investigate customer and export partner quality complaints by performing root cause analysis to identify underlying issues, then develop and execute corrective and preventive measures aimed at minimizing recurrence.

Seeking an accomplished professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least five years of hands-on experience in software development, system architecture, or a comparable technical discipline. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, alongside expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps methodologies. Additionally, familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools like Docker is required. Strong analytical problem-solving skills and exceptional communication abilities are also crucial for collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, or a relevant discipline is required.

A minimum of seven years of hands-on experience in quality assurance within the food processing sector is required.

Proficiency in quality control protocols, testing methodologies, regulatory mandates, and food safety compliance standards is essential.

Proficiency in quality management systems, laboratory operations, audits, and export compliance is advantageous.
