About the role
Strath more School is in search of a dedicated and highly qualified educator to fill a Mathematics and Science & Technology teaching position within its Lower Primary division. The ideal candidate will deliver Mathematics as the core subject, complemented by instruction in Science and Technology, to students in Grades 1 through 3.
We seek a candidate who demonstrates deep subject expertise alongside a passion for engaging with young learners and the skill to present dynamic, developmentally suitable lessons.
Overseeing a range of critical duties, the role encompasses managing daily operations to ensure seamless workflow, implementing strategies to enhance productivity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. Additionally, the position involves monitoring performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, preparing comprehensive reports for stakeholders, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for fostering a positive work environment, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support long-term growth.
Develop and implement engaging, high-quality Mathematics and Science & Technology lessons tailored specifically for Grade 1 through Grade 3 students.
Develop and execute instructional activities that align with the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) standards.
Track learner development and deliver prompt feedback to foster continuous improvement.
Accurately document learner attendance, performance, and developmental progress in accordance with established protocols to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date records.
Cultivate a vibrant, welcoming, and intellectually engaging classroom atmosphere that fosters inclusivity and supports student success.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance learner wellbeing and academic success.
Engage actively in various school-related initiatives, including extracurricular events, collaborative staff meetings, and structured professional development programs.
Essential qualifications & experience
Required is a valid teaching qualification, with a specialization in Mathematics as a fundamental area of expertise.
Eligibility for registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or possession of a valid TSC registration is required.
Proficient in conveying information clearly and effectively through both written correspondence and spoken interactions.
With a strong background in education and a genuine enthusiasm for instructing, the ideal candidate will bring both expertise and dedication to the role.
Desirable
Experienced educators with a background in instructing students at the Lower Primary level—specifically Grades 1 through 3—are encouraged to apply.
Proficient in the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) framework is essential.
