This position plays a key role in delivering tax advisory, compliance, and client service projects within a fast-paced audit and consulting setting. It encompasses developing innovative tax solutions, collaborating on client assignments, and enhancing tax processes, client interactions, and business growth efforts.
Responsibilities include overseeing project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives. Act as the primary liaison for clients, cultivating strong relationships while providing forward-thinking tax guidance tailored to their needs.
Lead and manage tax engagements encompassing advisory services, due diligence assessments, and comprehensive tax health evaluations, guaranteeing the delivery of superior-quality outputs while adhering to established deadlines.
Compile and verify tax calculations, ensuring accuracy before finalizing returns for submission.
Conducting regular assessments of clients’ tax obligations and filings to ensure compliance and accuracy falls within the scope of responsibilities.
Facilitate client regulator audits by serving as a liaison and addressing tax-related issues to ensure compliance and resolution.
Prepare tax advisory opinions and deliver expert technical guidance on tax legislation and compliance matters.
Mentor and coach tax associates to enhance their technical proficiency in tax analysis, fostering continuous professional growth and expertise development.
Responsibilities include ensuring thorough documentation, adherence to regulatory standards, and compliance with all applicable guidelines to maintain organizational integrity and operational excellence.
Leverage strategic business development initiatives by drafting compelling proposals, delivering impactful client presentations, and analyzing market trends to inform decision-making.
Enhance internal development efforts by refining tax processes, methodologies, publications, and tools—such as tax alerts and thought leadership content.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information technology, or a related discipline is required. Additionally, at least three years of experience in a similar role is essential. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ is necessary, along with strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams are also required. Familiarity with software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, is preferred.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
Holding a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA) qualification is a professional requirement for this role.
A qualification in Tax, Customs, and Revenue Administration, such as a Diploma or Certificate from KERA, would be advantageous.
Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of tax consulting or administration experience, including at least one year in a senior-level role.
Possess a solid comprehension of tax regulations and accounting principles.
