Job Summary

The role of Tax Advisor is situated within the People Advisory Services, specifically within the Tax sub-service line. Applicants must possess a strong grasp of tax principles and exhibit proficiency in addressing technical tax considerations relevant to expatriates, local employees, and individuals. The ideal candidate will proactively recognize and resolve complex technical issues by delivering tailored, effective solutions.

Obtained through a Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Business or Finance, with at least an upper second-class honors classification or its equivalent.

A recognized professional accounting qualification, such as ARCA, CPA, or CA, would be highly beneficial.

Requires a minimum of three years of comprehensive experience with a distinguished tax service provider, specializing in the management of large multinational clients across all facets of expatriate taxation. Expertise should encompass tax computation for expatriates, adherence to social security regulations, strategic guidance on the implications of international assignments and short-term cross-border relocations, equity compensation taxation, as well as the interplay between international tax frameworks, immigration protocols, and expatriate tax compliance.

Candidates must have attained at least a B grade in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) examination, with a minimum B in both English and Mathematics.

Proficient in tax and social security regulations, with a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation.

Hands-on experience with tax and direct engagement with the Kenya Revenue Authority are required.

Skilled in information technology and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
