Job Purpose

The volunteer project manager will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day activities of the randomized controlled trial (RCT) comparing digital and paper-based patient-reported outcome measures (Proms) in the orthopedic outpatient clinic. This role will focus on maintaining project timelines, ensuring regulatory compliance, facilitating effective communication, and optimizing workflow efficiency among investigators, staff, and volunteers.

Oversee a range of essential duties encompassing project management, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence and achieve organizational objectives. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Lead initiatives to optimize workflows, mitigate risks, and enhance productivity across departments. Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders, senior management, and team members to align on priorities and resolve challenges efficiently. Champion innovation and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in a dynamic business environment.

Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations. Responsible for directing the daily operations of the randomized controlled trial (RCT) evaluating digital versus paper-based Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (Proms) within the orthopedic outpatient clinic setting.

Develop, update, and oversee project timelines to guarantee that key milestones are achieved within specified deadlines.

Schedule and organize meetings involving investigators, clinic staff, and research assistants to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Prepare, review, and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Ensure all processes, procedures, and reports adhere to compliance requirements while facilitating audits and inspections. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and resolve documentation-related issues promptly. Stay informed about evolving regulations and industry best practices to implement necessary updates and improvements to existing documentation frameworks.

Maintain precise documentation of study advancements, encompassing recruitment tracking and data collection updates.

Ensure adherence to ethical standards by collaborating with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and maintaining current documentation.

This role demands the ability to convey information clearly and concisely, both internally and externally. You will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, and presenting data to stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Serve as the primary liaison between the volunteer team, clinic staff, and principal investigators.

Submit consistent progress reports to the principal investigators.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required:
