Position Summary
PA SGR is in search of a Senior Communications Officer to spearhead corporate communications, public relations, digital engagement, and the visibility of the organization’s initiatives. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and will play a pivotal role in advancing program implementation, knowledge management, and resource mobilization through strategic communication efforts.
Oversee and execute a wide range of critical duties to ensure operational excellence and strategic alignment. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve key performance indicators, drive efficiency improvements, and foster innovation within established frameworks. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance, mitigate risks, and enhance productivity. Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental objectives with organizational goals, ensuring seamless integration and measurable outcomes. Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and present actionable insights to stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Craft and execute PA SGR’s Communications Strategy, ensuring its development and successful implementation.
Oversee the development and execution of corporate communications strategies, brand management initiatives, and public relations efforts to bolster organizational reputation and stakeholder engagement.
Responsible for managing and maintaining the website, digital platforms, and social media channels to ensure consistent branding, functionality, and user engagement.
We oversee the development and production of publications, multimedia content, and documentation to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Enhance media relations and deepen stakeholder engagement to foster strategic partnerships and amplify organizational messaging.
We assist in meeting the fundraising objectives and enhancing programmed-related communications as required.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least three years of experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines and possess a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development.
A Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a closely related field is required.
With a minimum of eight years of experience in a senior communications capacity, candidates must demonstrate a proven track record in the field.
Strong writing, storytelling, and multimedia production skills
Proven expertise in leveraging digital platforms, fostering media engagement, and implementing strategic communication initiatives is required.
Strong English communication skills are essential, with proficiency in French considered a valuable asset.
