MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Responsibilities include managing sales activities and cultivating customer relationships to drive revenue growth. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, meeting sales targets, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service. This role requires a proactive approach to lead generation, client retention, and negotiation with potential clients. Oversee customer portfolios to meet defined business objectives, including volume targets, margin optimization, debt management, growth initiatives, and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities include managing the sales portfolio, tracking growth and performance metrics, and leveraging available sales tools to foster business expansion. Additionally, you will develop high-quality, precise account plans tailored to all key customers to maximize strategic opportunities.

Identify and capitalize on evolving market opportunities to expand the customer base and drive business growth.

Leverage existing resources to expand the customer base and market penetration for Bulk LPG.

Craft comprehensive business plans in collaboration with distributors, and conduct periodic evaluations to verify proper execution.

Develop and nurture strong, professional relationships with all customers to ensure their satisfaction and continued engagement.

Market Intelligence and Monitoring: Develop and manage a comprehensive database to track market size, competitors, and their respective market shares. Deliver timely market intelligence reports, including pricing trends, emerging customer opportunities, and competitor developments.

Deliver all offers in strict adherence to the customer promise initiatives outlined in the standard offer book.

Proactively safeguard the company’s market position by systematically renewing all critical customer contracts to mitigate competitive threats.

Oversee credit administration in accordance with established company policies and the defined manual of authorities. Ensure timely debt recovery in line with mutually agreed trading terms while conducting customer credit evaluations as they become due.

Ensure the prompt and timely delivery of all invoices and statements to customers. Address and resolve any invoice disputes in collaboration with customers.

Ensure the establishment and enforcement of company policies and procedures, alongside the implementation of pertinent controls.

Conduct routine equipment inspections at client facilities and promptly recommend or implement corrective measures as needed. Coordinate with the Engineering team to address technical aspects such as tank installations, revalidation, and other pertinent requirements.

Marketing & Supply Chain professionals play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between product development and customer delivery, ensuring seamless operations from market analysis to final distribution. They analyze consumer trends to shape strategic campaigns while optimizing procurement, inventory, and logistics to reduce costs and enhance efficiency. Responsibilities include developing and executing marketing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, forecasting demand, and coordinating cross-functional teams to align business objectives with market demands. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential, along with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and familiarity with CRM, ERP, and supply chain management tools.

Grow market share within the designated sales territory by executing strategic initiatives. Provide support in organizing and executing LPG customer events planned for the upcoming financial period.

Promote the adoption of alternative payment methods, specifically pre-payments, among small-volume customers and resellers.

Deliver precise sales projections to enhance the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Collaborate closely with distribution teams to facilitate seamless product delivery to customers.

Essential:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, classified at NQF Level 7, is required for this position.

A degree or substantial experience in engineering is highly advantageous for candidates applying to this position.
