Contributing insights to the formulation of human resource strategies, policies, and procedures.
Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data required for payroll processing through verification and consolidation.
Conducting comprehensive assessments of training requirements and forecasting future needs to guide the development and implementation of training initiatives.
Executing clerical and administrative duties in support of the Management Advisory Committee.
Accurate and timely maintenance of Human Resource records is ensured through diligent oversight and systematic processes.
Developing and executing human resource management strategies in alignment with established rules, regulations, and procedures.
Overseeing the payroll process, including the accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, tax deductions, and benefits administration, is a primary responsibility. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial data. Additionally, the position involves reconciling payroll discrepancies, generating reports, and collaborating with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll operations and support overall organizational efficiency.
Compiling and preparing detailed reports on the implementation of performance management systems, particularly performance appraisals, constitutes a key responsibility. This role involves meticulously documenting progress, analyzing data, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives to support informed decision-making.
Maintaining accurate records for staff training and development initiatives is essential, ensuring all programs are properly documented and tracked.
Person specification
An officer must meet specific criteria to be appointed to this grade, including the following requirements:
With nine (9) years of cumulative professional experience, a minimum of three (3) of those years must have been fulfilled in the capacity of Senior Human Resource Management Officer or an equivalent role within either the Public Service or Private Sector.
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent credential from an accredited institution is required.
OR
A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Commerce is required, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
Registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management (HRM).
A recognized institution must have issued a Management Course credential.
Demonstrates strong competency in utilizing various computer software and applications effectively.
