Our esteemed client, a premier Events Management Company headquartered in Nairobi, is in search of a skilled Accountant to oversee the organization’s financial activities. The successful candidate will ensure precise financial reporting, adherence to regulatory standards, efficient cash flow management, and robust internal control systems. This position will also provide critical financial insights to support strategic business decisions and advance the company’s financial and operational goals.

Design and execute strategies to effectively manage and reduce financial risks within the organization.

Maintain adherence to all legal requirements, such as tax obligations and mandatory filings with governing bodies, to ensure full regulatory compliance.

Oversee accounts receivable functions and guarantee the prompt collection of overdue debts.

Oversee the monthly invoicing cycles, perform reconciliations, and monitor revenue tracking to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports and financial statements.

Seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team, the ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong background in their field, with at least five years of relevant experience. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. Professional qualification: Must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential issued by the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KANE) or be a CPA Finalist in the process of completing the certification.

A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance is required, ideally within the events, hospitality, service, or related sectors.

Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and adherence to statutory compliance requirements is essential.

Proficient in utilizing accounting software platforms, including QuickBooks, Sage, Pastel, and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Strong competency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.

Possession of a valid Certificate of Good Conduct is advantageous.
