Job Summary

Our client, a leading investment firm specializing in collective wealth-building through real estate ventures, publicly traded securities, and private equity opportunities, is in search of a seasoned and forward-thinking Financial Controller. The ideal candidate will take charge of managing the company’s financial functions, upholding regulatory compliance, compiling precise financial statements, and delivering strategic financial analyses to inform high-level governance decisions at the Board level.

Key Responsibilities

Compile and deliver precise financial reports and managerial accounts to the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities include managing budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow oversight to ensure fiscal stability and strategic alignment.

Ensure adherence to all applicable statutory, regulatory, and financial reporting obligations in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

Oversee financial control systems, risk management frameworks, and internal audit operations to ensure organizational integrity and compliance.

Monitor investment performance and deliver detailed financial analyses for real estate, marketable securities, and private equity portfolios.

Coordinate all external audit activities and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities throughout the audit process.

Prepare and submit tax returns and required statutory deductions promptly to ensure compliance with all regulatory deadlines.

Oversee and guide the finance team to maintain optimal financial operations.

Deliver expert financial guidance to drive strategic business expansion and optimize investment opportunities.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely aligned discipline is required.

A recognized professional certification, such as the CPA(K) qualification, or an equivalent credential, is required for this position.

Must maintain an active and compliant membership status with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (IC PAK).

A proven track record of 5 to 10 years in the fields of finance and accounting is required.

Individuals with a background in real estate investments, marketable securities, or private equity are strongly encouraged to apply.

Proficiency in financial reporting standards, taxation, and investment accounting is essential.

Analytical prowess, leadership capabilities, and strong communication skills are essential for this role.

Demonstrates the capacity to operate autonomously while maintaining strict confidentiality and unwavering integrity when handling sensitive financial data.
