Position Summary
PA SGR is actively recruiting a Senior Communications Officer tasked with spearheading corporate communications, public relations, digital engagement, and the visibility of the organization’s initiatives. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, this role will facilitate program implementation, knowledge management, and resource mobilization through the strategic use of communication.
Oversee the execution of core duties to ensure operational alignment and strategic outcomes, including management of project timelines, team coordination, and stakeholder communication. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Lead cross-functional initiatives, analyze performance metrics, and prepare comprehensive reports to inform executive decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with senior leadership to align organizational goals with departmental objectives, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance. Additionally, provide mentorship and guidance to team members to cultivate talent, optimize productivity, and support career development.
Spearhead the creation and execution of PA SGR’s Communications Strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and maximizing outreach impact.
Oversee corporate communications, brand management, and public relations initiatives to ensure cohesive messaging and a strong organizational image.
Supervise the development, maintenance, and strategic direction of the company’s website, digital platforms, and social media channels to ensure consistent branding, user engagement, and alignment with business objectives.
Oversee the development and production of publications, multimedia content, and documentation.
Strengthen media relations and cultivate stakeholder engagement to foster mutually beneficial partnerships and enhance organizational visibility.
Assist in developing and executing fundraising initiatives while ensuring effective communication of program activities and achievements.
Seeking a candidate with a strong academic background, including a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, complemented by at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. The ideal applicant will demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard tools and methodologies, along with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Prior experience leading cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and delivering measurable results is highly desirable. Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, are essential for collaborating with stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and continuous improvement processes is preferred.
A master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a closely related discipline is required.
A minimum of eight years of professional experience in a comparable senior-level communications position is required.
Proficient in crafting compelling narratives, developing engaging content, and producing multimedia assets are essential for this role.
Proven expertise in digital platforms, media interaction, and strategic communication is required.
Fluent English communication skills are required, with a strong preference for candidates who possess proficiency in French.
