Position Summary
PA SGR is currently in search of a Senior Communications Officer to oversee corporate communications, public relations, digital engagement, and the visibility of the organization’s initiatives. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the position will facilitate program implementation, knowledge management, and resource mobilization through strategic communication efforts.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth and operational excellence, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives. Oversee cross-functional teams to execute projects efficiently, fostering collaboration and accountability across departments. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning. Serve as a primary liaison between senior leadership and employees, facilitating transparent communication and decision-making processes.
Spearhead the creation and execution of PA SGR’s Communications Strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering impactful engagement across all platforms.
Oversee the organization’s communications strategy, brand positioning, and public relations initiatives to ensure consistency and impact.
Supervise the management and optimization of the company’s website, digital platforms, and social media channels to ensure consistent branding, seamless user experience, and strategic digital engagement.
Oversee the development and production of publications, multimedia content, and documentation to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Enhance media relations and foster stakeholder engagement through proactive communication strategies.
Provide assistance with fundraising initiatives and programmed-related communication requirements.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, along with at least three years of relevant work experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is also necessary to perform the job effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for interacting with stakeholders and conveying complex information clearly. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
A master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a closely related discipline is required.
With a minimum of eight years of experience in a comparable senior communications position, you bring a wealth of expertise to our team.
Proficient in crafting compelling narratives, developing engaging content, and producing multimedia assets with precision and creativity to captivate audiences across various platforms.
Skilled in leveraging digital platforms, fostering media engagement, and executing strategic communication initiatives.
Fluent English communication skills are essential, with proficiency in French considered a valuable asset.
