Position Summary
PA SGR is currently looking for a Senior Communications Officer to oversee corporate communications, public relations, digital engagement, and the visibility of the organization’s initiatives. This position will report directly to the Executive Director and play a key role in advancing program implementation, knowledge management, and resource mobilization through targeted communication strategies.
Oversee a range of critical duties, including but not limited to strategic planning, team leadership, and cross-departmental collaboration. Deliver impactful project outcomes by adhering to established timelines, maintaining rigorous quality standards, and fostering innovation. Serve as a liaison between senior management and operational staff to ensure seamless communication and alignment with organizational goals. Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and implement data-driven improvements to optimize efficiency and productivity. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, cultivating a high-performing and motivated workforce. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards while mitigating risks and addressing operational challenges proactively.
Formulate, oversee, and execute PA SGR’s Communications Strategy to ensure alignment with organizational goals and maximize stakeholder engagement.
Oversee corporate communications, brand management, and public relations initiatives to ensure cohesive messaging and a strong organizational presence.
Supervise the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the company website, digital platforms, and social media channels to ensure a cohesive and engaging online presence.
Oversee the development and production of publications, multimedia content, and documentation to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Cultivate and enhance relationships with media outlets and key stakeholders to foster positive public perception and mutual understanding.
We assist in advancing fundraising initiatives and enhancing programmed-related communications to ensure effective outreach and engagement.
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field is required for this position. A minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience is necessary, with at least two years in a supervisory or management role. Proficiency in GAAP and experience with ERP systems are essential skills. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Furthermore, prior experience in financial reporting and budgeting is highly desirable.
A master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or an equivalent discipline is required.
Experienced professionals with at least eight years in a comparable senior communications position are encouraged to apply.
Proven proficiency in writing, crafting compelling narratives, and producing multimedia content is required.
Proven expertise in leveraging digital platforms, fostering media engagement, and executing strategic communication initiatives is required.
Strong English communication skills are essential; proficiency in French constitutes an additional benefit.
