Oversee the teams responsible for Sea Export operations originating from Kenya.
Ensure the team remains updated on all changes and developments while facilitating the necessary internal alignments and objectives.
Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports to assess their contributions and effectiveness.
Enhance employee competencies through targeted skill development initiatives.
Establish and maintain standardized procedures to ensure seamless case transfers in response to organizational changes within the team.
Develop the Middle Office’s organizational structure, enhance its expertise, and establish the necessary tools and standardized processes to ensure operational excellence.
Ensure that the organization’s resources, expertise, and infrastructure align seamlessly with the objectives established by the Manager.
Regularly assess the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to confirm its alignment with customer service objectives.
Oversee the execution of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) by the Management Office (MO) team, conduct both internal and external quality audits, and ensure continuous alignment with the approved action plan through diligent monitoring.
Coordinate and monitor operations.
Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality service to clients at all times.
Mitigate and oversee potential risks to ensure organizational stability and compliance with established safety protocols.
Develop and implement a comprehensive risk control framework to systematically identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks across the organization.
To mitigate additional cost exposure, execute all necessary measures and strategies with precision and thoroughness.
Deliver both the mutually agreed client contractual KPIs and our internal performance benchmarks in full and on schedule.
To mitigate disbursement exposure to the fullest extent possible, execute all necessary measures, including adherence to compliance classification protocols, accurate billing and expense posting procedures, and proactive risk management strategies, with a particular emphasis on debit-related considerations.
Provide support for the customer disputes process by collaborating with both the Front Office and Back Office (including Legal and Insurance departments) and take measures to prevent the recurrence of underlying issues.
Ensure that appropriate insurance coverage is maintained for our services, whether provided through our own resources or through contracted arrangements, with the support of the Back-Office Insurance team.
Provide management with timely and accurate information, ensuring all relevant details are communicated clearly and concisely to facilitate informed decision-making and operational efficiency.
Identify critical customers based on factors such as the nature of their cargo, shipping volumes, financial standing, and key account status, then establish tailored operational monitoring measures as required.
Gather and compile data on operational risks, including customs-related challenges, and submit a monthly report to the Manager.
Compile and present a monthly report to the Manager, summarizing the department’s performance along with a forward-looking perspective for the upcoming months, while incorporating key market dynamics such as customer trends and competitive developments.
