Job objective:
AAA Growers Limited is currently in search of a meticulous and proactive Creditors Accounts Officer to enhance the Accounts Payable function. This position entails managing supplier payments, overseeing local and foreign currency creditor accounts, conducting reconciliations, handling petty cash administration, ensuring VAT compliance, and maintaining precise financial records for both AAA Growers and its affiliated companies.
Overseeing key operational duties, including leading a diverse team to achieve departmental objectives, managing project timelines, and ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards. Analyzing performance metrics to identify trends, implementing process improvements, and driving efficiency gains across workflows. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to align initiatives with organizational goals and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. Developing and mentoring team members through coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Review and validate supplier invoices, Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Local Purchase Orders (Los), and accompanying supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Responsible for reconciling supplier statements and generating remittances to ensure prompt payment processing.
Ensure creditor records are maintained with precision and payments are allocated promptly.
Oversee accounts payable and foreign currency creditors for designated subsidiary companies.
Process and manage petty cash reimbursements originating from the Head Office, ensuring accurate balancing and reconciliation of all transactions.
Ensure precise VAT entries and preserve comprehensive supporting documentation to facilitate compliance and audit readiness.
Handle freight-related financial transactions and ensure the accurate maintenance of corresponding financial records.
Compile monthly creditor reports, establish payment schedules, and perform reconciliations.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address and resolve documentation discrepancies and reconciliation challenges.
Engage actively in stock-taking initiatives and assist with both internal and external audit processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be established to measure success and track progress in alignment with organizational objectives. These metrics will serve as benchmarks for evaluating performance, ensuring accountability, and identifying areas for improvement. Regular assessments will be conducted to monitor outcomes, with data-driven insights informing strategic adjustments as needed.

Qualifications and Essential Skills:
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-specific software or tools is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective collaboration. Familiarity with project management methodologies and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are also necessary. Additionally, a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to evolving industry trends is expected.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related discipline is required for this position.
Professional qualifications such as CPA Part II/III, ARCA, or equivalent are required for this role.
A minimum of two years of professional experience in Accounts Payable or Creditors Management is required.
Demonstrates strong expertise in accounting software platforms and Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in data management and financial analysis.
Proficiency in VAT regulations and familiarity with ETFMS requirements are advantageous qualifications for this role.
