What You’ll Do

Drive consumer marketing initiatives spanning East Africa while also providing strategic support for culturally tailored campaigns in other Sub-Saharan African regions.

Partner with diverse teams spanning marketing, music, partnerships, media, analytics, and creative to develop and implement cohesive campaigns from initial strategy through to final execution.

Leverage both platform-based and external data sources to analyze audience patterns, uncover market prospects, and pinpoint growth catalysts, thereby shaping strategic marketing initiatives.

Create comprehensive creative and media briefs in partnership with internal stakeholders and external agency collaborators.

Develop and execute strategies to attract, engage, and retain users across both Free and Premium audience segments.

Develop and establish strategic collaborations with local partners, including creators, agencies, and cultural influencers, to enhance brand recognition and foster consumer engagement.

Analyze the effectiveness of campaigns and derive meaningful insights to formulate practical recommendations for upcoming programs and market strategies.

Tailor global marketing strategies to align with local consumer preferences and market dynamics, ensuring relevance and impact across varied audiences and regions.

Collaborate with internal teams and regional partners to facilitate local music and cultural marketing initiatives.

Who You Are

With a minimum of four years of experience in consumer marketing, brand marketing, or campaign management within East Africa, you bring a strong foundation to this role.

With a proven track record in executing initiatives across various Sub-Saharan African markets or regional campaigns, you bring extensive experience to the table. Your expertise spans diverse geographical landscapes, enabling you to navigate the unique challenges and opportunities inherent in these dynamic regions.

With a proven track record in brand strategy, consumer insights, digital marketing, media, and/or project management, you bring valuable experience to the role.

You possess a proven track record of executing high-impact campaigns across diverse sectors, including digital enterprises, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), retail, entertainment, or technology industries.

Proficient in transforming consumer and cultural insights into dynamic marketing strategies and impactful campaigns.

You possess a strong aptitude for analyzing data and performance metrics to assess outcomes and enhance marketing efficiency.

You excel at balancing competing priorities without compromising precision or the caliber of your work.

As a collaborative partner, you effectively engage with diverse teams, agencies, and stakeholders, navigating varied perspectives and priorities to drive cohesive outcomes.

You exhibit a proactive approach, consistently focusing on solutions, and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings.

You exhibit a strong passion for culture, storytelling, and crafting experiences that forge genuine connections with local communities.
