Role Summary
The ideal applicant will instruct Physics for both the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) and Diploma Program (DP), fostering a collaborative approach with the Science Department to provide stimulating, rigorous, and student-focused educational opportunities.
Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing the development, implementation, and oversight of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strategic goals. Coordinate cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and deliver high-quality outcomes within established timelines and budgetary constraints. Monitor progress through performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to maintain operational excellence. Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders to ensure clear communication, transparency, and accountability at all levels of project execution. Additionally, analyze data and trends to inform decision-making, mitigate risks, and capitalize on opportunities for continuous enhancement and innovation.
Develop and implement rigorous physics lessons meticulously aligned with the IB MYP and DP frameworks, guaranteeing alignment with subject-specific objectives, assessment standards, and inquiry-driven pedagogical approaches.
Design and create dynamic learning experiences that incorporate hands-on investigations and experiments to foster students’ conceptual grasp, problem-solving abilities, and scientific reasoning.
Design and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with IB criteria, delivering prompt, actionable feedback to enhance student growth and academic outcomes.
Employ a variety of instructional approaches tailored to accommodate the distinct learning preferences and abilities of students within a multicultural, international school setting.
Create an environment in the classroom that is secure, welcoming, and intellectually engaging, fostering student well-being, curiosity, and a passion for learning.
Effectively convey information with students, parents, and colleagues while fostering collaborative relationships that enhance student learning through clear and professional interactions.
Play an integral role in developing and implementing co-curricular programs, school-driven initiatives, and enrichment activities designed to foster the comprehensive growth and development of students.
Participate consistently in professional learning, reflection, and growth initiatives, including engagement in International Baccalaureate (IB) professional development opportunities as applicable.

A recognized university must confer a Bachelor’s degree in either Physics or Physics Education.
A Master’s degree is preferred.
Seeking an educator with at least five years of secondary physics instruction experience, ideally within an international curriculum framework.
Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching IB MYP and/or DP Physics.
Proven expertise in delivering instruction within a multicultural, international school setting, characterized by a commitment to student-centered learning and inquiry-driven methodologies, alongside assessment strategies compliant with global standards.
Professional TSC registration constitutes an essential prerequisite for eligibility.
