Job Description

The Cluster Director of Revenue leads the Commercial Strategy team at their home hotel to define and execute a strategic vision. They establish objectives and implement tactical initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth across key customer segments and revenue centers, while reinforcing the hotel’s brand positioning and market presence. This role oversees data integrity and analysis, delivering actionable insights, and formulating revenue and e-commerce strategies for the Commercial Strategy team, as well as corporate and ownership stakeholders. Additionally, they ensure inventory allocation and pricing frameworks align with the hotel’s overarching revenue objectives, collaborating with all stakeholders to optimize profitability. The position also involves identifying and mentoring revenue management talent within the home hotel.

As a Cluster Director of Revenue, you provide strategic guidance, coaching, and mentorship to two properties, ensuring alignment with the overarching objectives of your home hotel through consistent communication and on-site engagement. Serving as a key liaison, you collaborate closely with the Regional Director of Revenue Management, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, and Regional Vice President to support their respective hotels and broader market area.

Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership to ensure organizational goals are met efficiently and effectively. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and maintain high standards of quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align efforts, resolve challenges, and drive continuous improvement across all departments. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making and strategic initiatives. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional development while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Serve as a key liaison between executive leadership and operational teams to facilitate clear communication and seamless coordination.

Drives the strategic planning process and partners with all hotel revenue-generating teams to proactively identify and pursue opportunities for enhancing incremental profit across Rooms, Restaurants, Spas, and additional income streams.

Crafts and articulates a persuasive vision centered on Total Hotel Profit Optimization, ensuring alignment among key property stakeholders while cultivating a robust Revenue Management Culture across profit-driving departments and instructing staff on fundamental RM principles.

Utilizes Revenue Management analytics, cutting-edge technologies, streamlined processes, specialized tools, and targeted training programs to maximize hotel profitability.

Develops both short- and long-term forecasts to inform optimal pricing and revenue management strategies.

Engages in the annual budget formulation process and develops long-term financial forecasts as needed.

Engages proactively in discussions and presentations related to ownership matters.

Analyzes key economic, market, and competitive indicators to inform strategies that drive insight-based profitability.

Chairs the weekly Revenue Management Meetings and prepares all necessary materials in strict compliance with Brand guidelines.

Drives room revenue growth by leveraging a comprehensive grasp of all booking platforms and strategically overseeing inventory allocation and pricing structures.

Develops and implements pricing, promotional, and availability strategies by establishing and overseeing all rate structures, tiers, stay restrictions, and related tactics, ensuring alignment with demand factors to effectively target the most profitable customer segments and drive revenue growth.

Oversees and executes the full scope of channel distribution strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Identifies and assesses emerging opportunities within booking channels to drive growth and optimize partnerships.

Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to implement, assess, and enhance digital marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s strategic marketing plans while adhering to approved budgetary constraints.

In collaboration with the Marketing team, oversees the execution of performance reviews alongside OTA/CTO partners, ensuring continuous awareness of each partner’s distribution capabilities and extranet upkeep to maintain optimal hotel visibility. Additionally, assesses potential enhancements to extranet systems.

Drives incremental revenue growth by maximizing opportunities through strategic upsell initiatives across all booking channels.

As the system owner for RMS, CRS (including ORS and TARS), the rate shopping system, Travel CLICK products, and hotel-specific platforms, you will ensure the integrity of data and maintain system hygiene in accordance with Accor’s standards, recommendations, and established procedures.

Manages content across all digital platforms, coordinating with the hotel’s Marketing team to ensure timely updates of images, descriptions, and details pertaining to the hotel, its room brands, outlets, and services.

Facilitates and maintains collaborative partnerships with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and Distribution Services teams to ensure seamless alignment and operational efficiency.

Develops and nurtures connections with regional industry rivals to stay abreast of emerging trends and market developments.

Motivate, guide, and manage team members to optimize their performance, fostering an environment of outstanding guest service and high employee satisfaction.

We provide assistance to properties facing challenges with revenue management, particularly in situations where revenue managers are either unavailable or where there is limited expertise in utilizing systems and executing daily revenue management tasks.

Serves as the pilot property for evaluating new reports, tools, or systems before their full-scale deployment across the field.

Reviews revenue standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assesses their implementation across properties to ensure compliance and operational consistency.

First line support is provided for revenue management system operations across area hotels, encompassing daily, weekly, and monthly revenue-related tasks in accordance with the Accor RM task list.

When strategic opportunities arise—such as shifts in pricing, changes in business mix, adjustments to allotment allocations, or any other factors with the potential to substantially influence a property’s financial performance—it is essential to escalate the need for further review by RDRM.

At a minimum, monthly progress and findings within area hotels are communicated to the RDRM, and newly identified best practices are shared to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.

Supports Area hotel General Managers by providing performance evaluation feedback for the Director of Revenue Management (DRM).

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar role, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a proven track record of project management and the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

A bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Hotel Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is strongly preferred.

With a minimum of four years of experience as a Director of Revenue Management across multiple hotel properties, or alternatively, prior Area Director of Revenue Management experience outside of Accor, candidates should demonstrate a strong track record in revenue optimization strategies and leadership in dynamic hospitality environments.
