Oversee a diverse array of operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive efficiency, mitigate risks, and support scalable growth. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress, identify deviations, and initiate corrective actions as needed. Serve as a primary liaison for internal stakeholders, facilitating clear communication between departments to resolve challenges and optimize resource allocation.

Assist in the structured arrangement of WCR project documentation to facilitate efficient retrieval and collaborative knowledge dissemination.

Conduct an in-depth analysis of WUF13 reports and proceedings, extracting and summarizing the primary themes and key arguments presented in WCR 2026 to highlight their significance and implications.

Assist in coordinating internal and external post-launch events, preparing essential background materials, and compiling reports.

Thoroughly verify the precision and uniformity of data and cited references throughout all WCR post-launch reports.

Conduct in-depth desk research to assess and monitor the effects of WCR2026.

Provide support in executing literature reviews, gathering data, and performing qualitative and quantitative analysis to help conceptualize WCR2028.

Deliver adaptable and on-demand assistance in accordance with the supervisor’s assignments and as needed.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to execute additional tasks essential for advancing the section’s work program.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in a related field, along with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role. The ideal applicant will demonstrate adaptability, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to continuous learning. Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship capacity is highly desirable.

Candidates must satisfy one of the following prerequisites at the time of application:

Applicants must be pursuing a graduate-level academic program, including a second university degree or equivalent qualification, or hold a higher-level degree.

To qualify, candidates must either be in the final year of their initial university degree program—at the Bachelor’s level or its equivalent—or have already earned a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, PhD, or an equivalent qualification.

Proficient in utilizing standard software applications within the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Demonstrated a strong passion for the United Nations’ mission and a deep personal dedication to the principles outlined in its Charter.

Demonstrates a proven capacity to engage effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and belief systems, characterized by an openness to comprehending differing perspectives and maintaining an accepting attitude toward varied opinions and viewpoints.

A background in Urban Studies, Urban Planning, Geography, Economics, Development Studies, or a closely related field is highly advantageous. Proficiency in research methodologies, data collection and analysis, as well as project management tools is also desirable. It is important to note that candidates applying to the UN Internship Program need not possess prior professional work experience.

A relevant field of study closely aligned with the internship you are pursuing is required. Candidates must either be enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s or equivalent program, a Master’s or Ph.D. program—or have already completed one of these qualifications.
