SALARY
The salary range for this position is between KSH 50,000 and KSH 75,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to established protocols. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance productivity and efficiency across all departments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align goals, resolve challenges, and foster innovation. Monitor performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas requiring corrective action. Maintain compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting professional growth and accountability. Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to optimize project outcomes and deliver measurable results. Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment with organizational objectives.
Prepare, execute, and present dishes in strict accordance with specified menus and standardized recipes.
Facilitate seamless kitchen workflow during absences of staff members or when customer traffic reaches peak levels.
Maintain uniform excellence across all offerings, encompassing Chinese cuisine as well as Kenyan and local dishes.
Assist with preparing, portioning, and plating food as needed.
Uphold rigorous hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety protocols in accordance with HACCP standards and company regulations. Additionally, oversee the correct storage and handling of all food supplies and ingredients to ensure compliance and quality.
Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members to maintain seamless service operations.
Receive and execute directives from the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor as provided.
Strive to reduce food waste while actively contributing to cost-control measures.
Responsibilities include overseeing the timely preparation and delivery of meals throughout designated service periods to uphold operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field, along with proficiency in industry-standard software and tools. The ideal applicant must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required, and additional certifications or advanced degrees are highly desirable. Familiarity with project management methodologies and a proven track record in delivering results are essential.
Experienced Chef, Cook, or related professional with a track record in fast-paced kitchen settings.
Proven expertise in Chinese cuisine and Kenyan or local culinary traditions is required.
A degree or certification in Culinary Arts or a related discipline would be advantageous.
Proficient in food preparation methods, kitchen machinery operation, and adherence to food safety protocols.
Proficient in thriving in high-pressure, rapidly evolving work settings with adaptability to meet fluctuating demands. Exhibits willingness to accommodate varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and designated holidays, as determined by operational needs.
Proficient in fostering clear and effective communication while collaborating seamlessly within a team-oriented environment.
Maintaining a high degree of self-discipline, meticulous cleanliness, and precision in tasks is essential.
