THE ROLE PURPOSE
This position propels the entire design lifecycle, converting strategic business objectives and user research into seamless, user-centered design solutions for intricate financial platforms. By shaping design systems and championing superior user experience standards, the role guarantees that product functionalities reflect the organization’s commitment to digital transformation.
KEY responsibilities
Drive the design process from concept to delivery, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing for various digital products (e.g., mobile apps, online banking platforms, USSD and Chatbot).
Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
Drive the development of the team’s product vision by conducting thorough research, generating innovative concepts, creating detailed sketches, building interactive prototypes, and conducting rigorous user testing for digital products.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business goals into effective design solutions.
Communicate design rationale and advocate for the best user experience outcomes.
Contribute to and maintain a design system that ensures consistency and scalability across all digital products.
Develop and document design standards and guidelines.

Qualifications
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS & LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES
Experience designing for complex financial applications, such as mobile banking apps or investment tools.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a cross-functional team.
Understanding of regulatory requirements and security best practices in the financial industry.
Well organized, responsible, and dedicated, with the ability to work on multiple projects and deliver refined design in a short time.
Self-learning, able to learn new tools quickly and work in a fast-evolving environment
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
5+ years in designing applications for web, desktop, and mobile.
A strong portfolio demonstrating strong design process, interaction, and visual design skills.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), design systems, and responsive design principles.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Must- Haves
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communication, Design, or computing-related subject
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Nice to Haves
Financial services or fintech experience
