The primary objective of this role is to oversee and execute tasks essential to the position, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. To conduct regular channel visits with the objective of enhancing retailer awareness and improving SIM and Float performance, while ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising standards at points of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.

Oversee and execute a wide array of critical duties encompassing operational management, strategic planning, and team leadership to ensure organizational success. Provide direction and guidance to cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving performance excellence. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven solutions to optimize workflows and enhance productivity. Develop and maintain robust policies, procedures, and systems to uphold compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and department heads to align objectives and facilitate seamless communication. Conduct regular assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative strategies to address challenges proactively. Ensure the efficient allocation of resources while balancing cost-effectiveness and quality outcomes. Lead initiatives to cultivate a positive organizational culture, promoting employee engagement and professional development.

SSO & Agent Recruitment & Mapping – Oversee the strategic identification and recruitment of Agents, with a focus on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.

Consistently maintain call rates by conducting regular visits to SOS and Agents as per the established route plans (beat plans).

Provide the necessary transaction tools at SSO and agent outlets. Additionally, conduct training sessions for SOS and Trash Agents to ensure they understand and can execute the required processes effectively.

AML training and development initiatives involve educating agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols and instructing them on the Know Your Customer (KYC) process, specifically in alignment with SIM REG requirements.

Ensure sufficient stock availability by actively monitoring and managing float and stock levels, while strictly enforcing the 1.5x stock rule for agents. Verify that Sales Support Officers (SOS) maintain adequate inventory of SIM cards to support seamless new registrations and activation processes.

Merchandising professionals will establish and uphold merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of essential merchandising materials at SOS and Agent outlets.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a relevant academic background and professional experience. A degree in a related field is essential, with additional credentials or certifications strongly preferred. Professional experience should align closely with the role’s demands, and proficiency in key competencies is required. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are critical for success in this position.

A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is required.

Demonstrated success in van sales or an equivalent sales position is essential.

Holders of a current and valid driver’s license are required for this position.

Experience

With a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in sales and distribution within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or telecommunications (Telcos) sectors, you are well-prepared for this role.
