POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon ensures compliance with CURE’s quality standards while delivering direct surgical care to patients. Additionally, this role involves educating and mentoring physicians-in-training on the fundamentals and advanced techniques of plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as supervising their surgical practice. The position also encompasses leading initiatives to enhance patient care quality, strengthen educational programs, and optimize departmental administration within the plastic and reconstructive surgery division.
Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations to ensure seamless workflow, managing project timelines and deliverables, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. Key tasks involve monitoring performance metrics, identifying process improvements, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency. Additionally, the role requires maintaining compliance with industry regulations, fostering a positive work environment, and leading initiatives to drive team development and engagement. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required, along with proficiency in industry-specific software and tools.
Compile and assess patient case histories by conducting thorough evaluations and gathering pertinent information directly from patients and their family members.
Evaluate patients and assess the necessity for clinical laboratory tests, subsequently interpreting examination findings and test results to inform medical decisions.
Formulate suitable plastic and reconstructive surgical interventions in accordance with diagnostic findings and clinical outcomes.
Establish guidelines for preoperative and postoperative care protocols, encompassing the administration of sedatives, the formulation of dietary plans, and the preparation of the patient’s operative site.
Perform surgical interventions and collaborate with the anesthesiologist to ensure seamless coordination of operations.
Provide care for individuals experiencing surgical shock, postoperative hemorrhage, and other related complications to ensure their recovery and well-being.
Skilled professionals will be tasked with overseeing and guiding operating room personnel in established protocols for preoperative and postoperative care, as well as in operating room procedures and techniques.
Provide instruction to resident plastic and reconstructive surgeons on performing plastic and reconstructive surgical procedures.
Diligently and comprehensively document all relevant patient details with precision and thoroughness.
Maintain patient safety throughout consultations, surgical procedures, and the postoperative recovery phase.
Support the Medical Director by maintaining a precise and sufficient inventory of medications and supplies.
Perform various additional responsibilities as needed to support operational objectives and uphold organizational standards. Assist in special projects, cross-functional initiatives, and ad-hoc tasks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with team members to address urgent needs, resolve challenges, and maintain workflow continuity. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while contributing to overall departmental goals. Provide support to colleagues in meeting deadlines, optimizing resources, and achieving key performance indicators. Adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate flexibility in fulfilling assigned duties beyond core responsibilities.

Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Demonstrate a minimum of three years of professional experience in software development or a closely related technical role, with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable software solutions.
Hold an MD or DO degree from an accredited, reputable medical school.
Board certification or eligibility in the relevant specialty is strongly preferred.
A valid and unrestricted medical license is required.
Requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in either a private clinical setting or a hospital-based healthcare environment.
Proven track record in the field of pediatric plastic surgery, with hands-on expertise in clinical and surgical interventions.
Fluency with international development contexts is highly desirable.
Proficiency in relevant technical competencies, analytical capabilities, and problem-solving methodologies is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders. The ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to evolving circumstances, and deliver results within established timelines is critical. Prior experience in a similar role, along with a track record of meeting performance targets, is highly desirable.
