Position Summary
The Program Officer will facilitate the execution, coordination, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement efforts for multiple initiatives at Alone Initiative. This role will primarily oversee the “Transforming Helmet Safety in Kenya: From Regulation to Market Compliance” project, which seeks to enhance motorcycle helmet safety regulations, compliance mechanisms, and institutional collaboration in Kenya. While leading this initiative, the officer will also provide support in the implementation of other Alone projects. Central to this position will be responsibilities such as facilitating policy discussions, conducting technical consultations, coordinating stakeholders, conducting research, managing monitoring and evaluation processes, and engaging with government entities, development partners, transport stakeholders, and civil society organizations. The ideal candidate must possess strong project coordination capabilities, experience in policy or governance-focused programming, and a proven interest in areas such as road safety, transport governance, public policy, standards compliance, or sustainable mobility.

Support the strategic coordination of engagements for the National Helpline for Welfare and Care (NHWC) initiatives.
