Position Summary
The Program Officer will facilitate the execution, coordination, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement for multiple projects under the Flone Initiative. They will spearhead the “Transforming Helmet Safety in Kenya: From Regulation to Market Compliance” initiative, designed to enhance motorcycle helmet safety regulations, enforce compliance mechanisms, and foster institutional collaboration in Kenya. In addition to leading this project, the officer will provide support for other initiatives within Flone. They will serve as a key contributor in facilitating policy dialogues, technical consultations, stakeholder engagement, research initiatives, monitoring and evaluation efforts, and interactions with government entities, development partners, transport stakeholders, and civil society organizations. The preferred candidate will possess robust project coordination abilities, a background in policy or governance-related initiatives, and a proven commitment to road safety, transport governance, public policy, standards compliance, or sustainable mobility.
Oversee daily operations to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and maintain high standards of efficiency.
