The ideal candidate will be responsible for fulfilling the following duties:

The role involves delivering comprehensive assistance to the Bank in the development, oversight, and upkeep of its capital assets, with a primary focus on construction projects. This includes managing the construction, project execution, maintenance, and security of the Bank’s physical infrastructure, particularly its premises, while prioritizing construction-related concerns.

Oversee and coordinate regular maintenance activities as well as address equipment malfunctions, ensuring all tasks meet established quality standards through thorough inspections.

Ensure meticulous oversight of contracting, cost control, and value optimization for the Bank’s construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects.

Collaborate effectively with essential internal and external stakeholders to devise strategies for reducing costs and execute comprehensive implementation plans.

Oversee various projects in collaboration with the Bank’s consultants, ensuring timely completion in accordance with mutually agreed-upon timelines.

Oversee and control expenditure associated with the development of new retail outlets and any refurbishment initiatives as mutually agreed upon from time to time.

Prepare and examine draft bills of quantities and other tender documentation intended for distribution to contractors for the bidding process.

Collaborate closely with the procurement team and external consultants throughout all tender procedures, encompassing contractor shortlisting, tender invitations, tender opening, and tender evaluation.

Conduct appraisals for internal initiatives, assess and oversee contractor disbursements at key construction milestones.

Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for all active and finalized projects, including contracts, performance bonds, and all required supporting materials.

Prepare detailed repair specifications, identify and select qualified contractors for the execution of required works, and develop comprehensive maintenance tender documentation.

Seeking candidates with a strong background in project management, proficient technical skills in relevant software, and at least three years of experience in a related field. Ideal applicants will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and a track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget. Fluency in written and verbal communication, along with collaborative teamwork capabilities, is essential for this role.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the following skills and competencies:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Building Economics or a closely aligned field is required.

Proficient in crafting detailed reports and delivering polished presentations with clarity and precision.
