JOB PURPOSE
To streamline the clearance process for Reefer containers at the Mombasa port.
Oversee the daily operations and strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project completion and foster innovation. Monitor performance metrics and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to support data-driven decision-making. Manage stakeholder relationships to maintain transparency and accountability. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards to mitigate risks and uphold organizational integrity. Train and mentor team members to cultivate a high-performing and motivated workforce.
Prepare export documentation in compliance with customs regulations.
Process documents within the PA system, specifically WATTS.
Responsible for managing and finalizing PA port charges with precision and efficiency to ensure accurate billing and compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.
Ensure all export documents are meticulously prepared and fully compliant before delivery to the appropriate authorities for processing.
Upon arrival at the Port, verify the presence of Containers and record temperature readings for all reefer units both at entry and upon connection at designated plugging points.
Once authorization is granted by the applicable regulatory authorities, shipments should be released in the WATTS system.
Upon the vessel’s departure, ensure thorough follow-up regarding the completion of plugging charges.
Upon completion of loading and the vessel’s departure, conduct follow-up actions for Certificates of Excellence (COE’s) to ensure timely processing and verification.
