Position Overview

The Swimming Pool Attendant/Boat Rider is responsible for maintaining the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests utilizing the hotel’s swimming pool and boating facilities. This position integrates guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and the management of equipment to provide an exceptional recreational experience.

Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to drive organizational objectives forward. Serve as a pivotal point of contact for cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless communication and alignment between departments. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement through mentorship, training, and professional development initiatives. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all operational activities.

Ensure guest safety by actively monitoring pool and boating zones, rigorously enforcing established safety protocols, and addressing emergencies with immediate action.

Facility Maintenance: Ensuring the cleanliness of the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas is essential, along with monitoring water quality and promptly reporting any discrepancies.

Operate and maintain boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment while ensuring proper storage and upkeep.

Provide attentive and courteous guest support at the poolside, during boat excursions, and throughout recreational events, delivering precise guidance and fostering a welcoming environment.

Collaborate effectively with lifeguards, recreation staff, and hotel management to ensure seamless coordination of guest activities.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field, is required. A minimum of five years’ experience in electrical or computer engineering is necessary, with at least two years in a software development role. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java is essential. Familiarity with embedded systems, hardware-software integration, and firmware development is also required. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills are expected.

Swimming Skills: Proficient in swimming with a strong skill set; lifeguard certification is a desirable asset.

Demonstrated capability in safely maneuvering small boats or other watercraft is required.

CPR and First Aid certification is strongly preferred for this position.

A background in hospitality, such as prior experience in hotels, resorts, or recreational facilities, would be beneficial.

Must possess strong interpersonal abilities to engage thoughtfully and courteously with guests from varied cultural and social backgrounds.
