Position Overview
The Swimming Pool Attendant/Boat Rider maintains the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests utilizing the hotel’s swimming pool and boating facilities. This position integrates guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and proficient equipment management to provide an exceptional recreational experience.
Oversee and execute the primary functions of the role by monitoring daily operations to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Implement and maintain efficient workflows to optimize productivity and resource utilization. Serve as a liaison between departments to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster professional development and accountability. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure success. Collaborate with stakeholders to align priorities with strategic objectives and drive sustainable growth. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation to support decision-making and audits.
Monitor pool and boating zones vigilantly to mitigate potential hazards, enforce established safety protocols, and address emergencies without delay.
Facility Maintenance involves ensuring the cleanliness of the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas while monitoring water quality and promptly reporting any concerns.
Equipment Handling: Responsible for the operation and securement of boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment, as well as maintaining proper storage and upkeep.
Provide attentive customer service by addressing guests’ requests regarding poolside amenities, boat excursions, and recreational offerings while delivering clear guidance and approachable assistance.
Collaborate effectively with lifeguards, recreation staff, and hotel management to synchronize guest activities.
Qualifications
Swimming Skills: Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in swimming; certification as a lifeguard is a plus.
Boating Experience: Candidates must possess a proven track record in the safe and proficient operation of small boats or watercraft.
CPR and First Aid certification is strongly preferred for this position.
A background in hospitality, including prior roles within hotels, resorts, or recreational facilities, is highly regarded.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and courteously with a wide range of guests from various cultural and social backgrounds.
